Dr. Beth Wheat is a 2004 graduate of LSU School of Veterinary Medicine. She was born and raised here in Texarkana and the daughter of Steve and Sylvia Holland. Dr. Wheat is married to Alton Wheat, who is from Hooks, Texas. Dr. Wheat and her husband have two sons, Luke and Carson. They also have 6 fur babies: Macy, Angel, Elsa, Ally and the newest additions Romeo & Juliet. Dr. Wheat has a true love for all God's creatures and knew at a young age that she wanted to work with animals. After graduating in 2004, Dr. Wheat was an associate here in Texarkana and worked until having their first son. After Luke was old enough, Dr. Wheat went back to work. When finding out they were expecting another child, Dr. Wheat began doing relief work. During this time, Dr. Wheat worked in a low cost spay & neuter clinic. It was at this time she realized that Texarkana has a great need for this service.
